pause.fm privacy policy

General provisions

This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for processing personal data collected through the website available at pause.fm and the Pause mobile app (together, the "Service").

Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Purchase and access to digital content

This section lists the purposes and legal grounds for processing personal data tied to buying and using access to recordings.

We process Customers' personal data for the following purposes and on the following legal grounds:

  • fulfilling orders and sales contracts for access to recordings (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)),
  • managing the account and sign in by a code sent by e-mail (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)),
  • handling complaints and inquiries (GDPR Article 6(1)(c) and (b)),
  • accounting and tax settlement (GDPR Article 6(1)(c)),
  • marketing communication by electronic means, only after consent is given (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

The data processed generally includes: e-mail address, order details, IP address, and, for accounting documents, data required by law.

We do not use automated decision making that produces legal effects for the Customer.

Online payments are handled by Stripe. To the extent necessary to complete a transaction, the Customer's data (e-mail address, payment amount) is shared with Stripe, which processes it as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Withdrawal from the contract

This section points to the Terms of Service for information about the right of withdrawal.

Information about the right of withdrawal in connection with buying digital content is set out in the Service's Terms of Service.

Complaints

This section explains how long complaint related data is kept and where to send questions about data processing.

We keep data related to complaints for the period required by law and as necessary to defend or pursue claims.

Personal data / Controller

This section lists the Customer's rights and how to exercise them.

Every Customer has the right to: access their data, rectify it, erase it, restrict its processing, port it, object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, please contact: [email protected]. The Customer also has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.

The Service uses cookies in accordance with the Cookie Policy available separately in the Service footer.

Data is generally not transferred outside the European Economic Area. If this becomes necessary in the future, it will happen only under the mechanisms provided by the GDPR and with appropriate safeguards.
